How do I pay for therapy sessions?
Session payments are handled through an electronic health record website that securely stores your credit card details, eliminating the need to re-enter your payment information each time you visit. We accept all major credit cards.
Is there a late cancellation or no-show fee?
If you cancel your session with less than 24 hours’ notice or do not attend, you will be responsible for paying the full session fee.
Do you take insurance?
No. I am out of network provider and do not take insurance. But you may have out of network benefits that may reimburse you for therapy sessions. Please contact your insurance company for additional information regarding reimbursement for telehealth mental health services outside of network.
If your insurance plan reimburses you for out of network, then I can provide you with a superbill receipt of your session(s) that you will forward to your insurance company.
By law, health care providers must give uninsured or self-paying patients an estimated bill for medical items and services.
Will I receive a mental health diagnosis?
Not all clients in therapy receive a mental health diagnosis or want a diagnosis on their record. Therapy takes a comprehensive approach by considering symptoms, individual goals, support, and the client’s overall well-being instead of just giving a diagnostic label. You can begin therapy and benefit from it without a formal diagnosis. Therapy provides support for stress, relationship challenges, or personal growth even if someone does not meet the criteria for a mental health diagnosis.
A diagnosis is beneficial to guide the treatment process, insurance coverage and/or state regulations and law(s). A diagnosis informs the course of treatment; however, it does not determine an individual’s identity.
What age group are appropriate for services?
I see clients age the age of six (6) and up: school age, college students, young adults, veterans and elderly.
How often do I need to attend therapy sessions?
Weekly sessions in the beginning if appropriately. Every client presents distinct needs and objectives, with some attaining their desired outcomes within a limited number of sessions. Other situations can take longer. Therapy sessions end when you meet your goal(s).
Which state(s) do you serve clients in?
I provide online services only to clients in Texas and Virginia due to current licensing regulations.
